Hard floors
Hard, cleanable floors in guest rooms rather than wall-to-wall carpet.
Why it matters
Dust mites live in carpet, and US health guidance for allergic sleepers is to replace wall-to-wall carpet in bedrooms with bare floors, which can be cleaned completely between guests.
