Opening windows
Guest rooms have windows or doors that open to outside air.
Why it matters
The US EPA lists opening windows, when outdoor air allows, as a way to dilute pollutants released indoors. An opening window lets guests air a room themselves when it smells of cleaning products or new furnishings.
